Total-Biotics

#1 Top Rated Enzymes

Recommened and sold by Top Vets

ONE JAR IS 228 GRAMS AND IS ENOUGH TO ADD TO 365 CUPS OF PET FOOD!  We are proud to offer the best digestive enzymes for pets Total-Zymes®. With an Incredible 16 different plant based digestive enzymes.  This great formula includes Prebiotics and systemic enzymes for more complete digestion.

Pet enzymes A growing number of vets are stating that cooked or processed pet food is the main cause of illness and premature death in the modern house pet!

Pet enzymes Animals are meant to eat a 100% raw diet... but is that practical?

Pet enzymes Total-Zymes®  is the answer for keeping your pet healthy while eating the modern pet diet?

The answer is...
Total-Zymes ® The Most Complete Digestive Enzyme Formula

A high performance broad-spectrum digestive enzyme formula. Total-Zymes ® is the most complete pet digestive enzyme product in the world, utilizing 16 high performance Vegetarian enzymes and L.E.A.D.S.® Live Enzyme Activated Delivery System®. L.E.A.D.S.® insures complete digestion and assimilation of all your pets food at a cellular level.

Digestive enzymes are very specific. They will only digest the exact food type for which they are named. As an example lipase will digest only lipids or fats as they are commonly called. Lipase will not do anything to digest protein or carbohydrates.

For complete digestion you must include all the different enzymes in a product to digest each type of food ingredient. A digestive product that contains only four, five or six enzymes will do a poor job digesting the complex ingredients of today's high quality pet food.

That's why we at NWC Naturals Pet products formulated Total-Zymes ® with a special blend of  SIXTEEN powerful Vegetarian enzymes to completely digest and deliver all the nutrients of today's modern pet diet.

With just one scoop of Total-Zymes ® per cup of any pet food we have also added 120,000 FCCPU of bromelain from pineapple as a systemic Enzyme. This will help support pets with seasonal sensitivities and the ocassional muscle discomfort from excercise in dogs and cats.

Now with the added bennifit of Pre-biotics to help with the growth and implantation of the good guy bacteria in the gut.

Using Total-Zymes ® on your pet's food is as close to the benefits of an all raw food diet as you can get.

But why does my pet need so many enzymes?

We have looked into many dog foods and cat foods as well as treats. Did you know that your pet could be getting added sugars and dairy products? We have noticed this trend when we went to the largest pet expo in the US. So we have added additional enzymes to our already superior formula to handle this trend.

We always advise that you do not give your pets sugar , including lactose (which is milk sugar) but there is a lot of hidden sugars and dairy you sometimes do not know about in that cute little doggie and kitty cake or cookie.

It is very hard for our pets to digest cooked and processed food as is, so this is why we supply 16 enzymes so you’re pet can handle any type of treat or food.LEADSVegerarian Approved

NWC Naturals developed our exclusive Live Enzyme Activated Delivery System ® (L.E.A.D.S. ®) back in 1995 to insure assimilation at a cellular level. This particular combination of mineral cofactors helps to activate each individual enzyme for maximum particle digestion and complete nutrient distribution throughout the body. It increases the formula's bioavailability. Total-Zymes® will not contribute minerals to your pets diet because the minerals are used up when the enzymes do their work.

Every pet can benefit from supplementation with enzymes?

Even healthy pets may improve their absorption and utilization of nutrients through the use of digestive enzymes. By using a supplemental enzyme on your pet's food you free up their body's digestive system. When enzymes are missing from our pets food, the full burden of digestion falls on the pets own digestive system making it work overtime.

Pet enzymes By using Total-Zymes® on your pet's food you free up their body's digestive system. The pancreas is meant to aid in the digestion of a raw food diet and can be stressed by eating an all cooked diet without the help of enzymes.

Pet enzymes When enzymes are missing from our pets food, the full burden of digestion falls on the pets own digestive system. Many premium pet food companies put a lot of thought and good ingredients in their food, but by not digesting it the pet does not get full benefit of the food you just spend a lot of money on.

Pet enzymes This can overwork the pancreas, stress their immune system, and weaken their overall health.

Pet enzymes Vegetarian enzymes can support a strong immune system, break down the food to facilitate good digestion, promote proper elimination, smaller stools, help support normal transportation of waste out of the body, and help support normal joint health, help with seasonal sensitivity to organic pollen. By better digesting the fat in the diet you will be supporting healthy skin and a shiny coat.

Always check the labels: some enzyme products put  beet root fiber from sugar beets in their formula as a filler. But yet they say they use no fillers. Read the label. This is an controversial ingredient that is made from sugar beets and put into dog products as a fiber filler. Avoid supplements with Beet root fiber.

Total-Zymes® use beet root juice not fiber. The beet root juice in the product is not from sugar beets and supports the liver and the digestion process. We would never use Beet Root Fiber from Sugar Beets!

Why choose Total-Zymes ® ?

Total-Zymes® Now has more enzymes for total digestion and to help support overall health of your pet. We offer more than any other pet product.

Using Total-Zymes® on your pet's food is as close to the benefits of an all raw food diet as you can get.

Not All Enzyme Products Are The Same

Probiotics and enzymes are becoming the new healthy trend in the people and PET industry. The truth is probiotics and enzymes are an essential supplement for all pets. However, it seems that a host of new probiotics for dogs and enzymes supplements are coming on the market. Pet food companies are also attempting to add enzymes and probiotics to their food. Without proper packaging, handling and storage this is not very effective.

You want the best for your pet so make sure you are getting a product that is back by years of knowledge and expertise, not new companies trying to go with the trend. Go with a company that started the trend since 1995.

When feeding the modern pet diet, all pets should be on digestive enzymes.  Domestic dogs and cats are raw food carnivores by nature.

Their ancestors lived off fresh meat rich in enzymes and complex nutrients. They supplemented their food by eating grass and soil which were teaming with digestive aids that helped break down and process the food. Dry and canned pet foods are void of some essential nutrients and completely void of digestive enzymes as the cooking and canning process kills them all.

Vegetarian enzymes like we use in all our products, can support a healthy immune system, more compleatly digest food, promote proper elimination, (an added benefit smaller stools) helps to remove waste from the body, help support healthy joints, help with seasonal sensitivities, supports healthy skin and a shiney coat.

Total-Zymes® has high amounts of multiple Proteolytic Enzymes for digestion and Systemic Enzymes for total body support; There are a number of clinical trials showing the benefit of using oral proteolytic enzymes as a digestive aid. Proteolytic enzymes are also theorized to help support normal digestion and also support a healthy immune system.

All organic pollens are proteins. Whether its ragweed pollen, cat dander, dust mite feces or any other organic grass or tree pollens they are all proteins. As a foreign protein enters the body thru the nose, lungs or eyes the body reacts two ways.

1) The body tries to use systemic enzymes to break down the protein into smaller pieces of peptides and then on to amino acids. As amino acids they are no longer perceived as a threat and they will cause no issues. In fact the amino acids can now be used by the body for normal muscle repair and healing.

2) If there is not a sufficient amount of enzymes present, the body will  initiate a histamine response and this triggers the inflammatory response. As part of an immune response to foreign pathogens the body will also produce extra mucus, runny nose and eyes, coughing and sneezing in an attempt to flush out the foreign protein invader.

Systemic proteolytic enzymes such as those in Total-Zymes®, taken orally, can digest and breakdown proteins in the foods as well as systemically to help lessen seasonal pollens from causing an hyperactive response. These enzymes will also help support pets with flea bite reactions, itching and soar muscles.

Total-Zymes® is a product with both digestive enzymes and systemic enzymes which will help with digestion and then supply enough enzyme activity to also help with other systemic enzyme bennifits.

Watch out for enzymes from dead slaughterhouse animals. Do your enzymes come from dead animals? Check your labels Pancreatic enzymes are from slaughter house cadavers, from both pigs and cows.

Pancreatic enzymes have an activity level limited to a narrow pH range and will not work in the stomach. Very specific in action. They have a delayed effect and are easily destroyed by the acidity of the stomach. They will not break down fibers and certain carbohydrates.

Pancreatic enzymes may cause these possible side effects:

Warning label on an actual pancreatic enzyme product: High doses may cause diarrhea, cramping, or vomiting. If you observe any of these reactions, contact your veterinarian immediately. If your pet experiences an allergic reaction to the medication, signs may include facial swelling, hives, scratching, sudden onset of diarrhea, vomiting, shock, seizures, pale gums, cold limbs, or coma. If you observe any of these signs, contact your veterinarian immediately. Precautions Do not use in animals hypersensitive (allergic) to pork products. The powder may irritate or burn the skin on contact. Wash immediately if you get any on your skin or your pet's skin. Wash hands after handling this medication. Is this something you would give your pet?

Total-Zymes® For Dogs and Cats does not have any bad side effects. Safe to use for all pets.

The primary benefits of enzymes is in shifting a portion of the digestive burden from pancreatic enzymes in the intestine to Vegetarian enzymes in the stomach. Continued supplementation over a period of days activates a feedback system to the pancreas, signaling it to decrease production of its enzymes. This allows the pancreas, to conserve its cellular machinery for production of insulin and glucagon; which are important in blood glucose maintenance. Thus helping take the stress of the pancreas.

Total-Zymes® For Dogs and Cats can help support your pets pancreas.

Our List of 16 Enzymes,

Pet Digestive Aid       Protease 6.0; Is used to break down proteins to peptides. It will not digest protein to amino acids. A second enzyme is necessary for that to happen.

Pet Digestive Aid       Protease 3.0; Is used to break down proteins in a different PH range.

Pet Digestive Aid       Protease 4.5; Is used to break down proteins in a different PH range then the other two.

Pet Digestive Aid       Peptidase; Help digest protein molecules. Four varieties of protease enzymes have been combined in this formula to compensate for higher protein diets of pets.

Pet Digestive Aid       Amylase;  An enzyme that breaks down sugars and starches. Good for those hidden sugars in pet treats. And helps digest corn, potatoes, rice ect.

Pet Digestive Aid       Alpha-Galactosidase; This enzyme breaks down carbohydrates, such as vegetables, whole grains. It can help prevent the gas and other gastrointestinal symptoms.

Pet Digestive Aid       Beta-Glucanase; This enzyme is used to breakdown carbohydrates, specifically starches.

Pet Digestive Aid       Diastase; Sometimes called maltase is an enzyme that is the catalyst in the hydrolysis of disaccharide maltose to the simple sugar form - glucose.

Pet Digestive Aid       Lipase; Will digest lipids or fats as they are commonly called. Lipase  is critical to digest that fat in the diet that supports a healthy coat and skin.

Pet Digestive Aid       Cellulase; Works on Cellulose, an indigestible fiber found in many fruits and vegetables.

Pet Digestive Aid Pectinase; Breaks down fruit and vegetable pectins and and facilitates the transportation of waste.  A much needed enzyme for your pet. Your pet gets heavy metal build up just like we do,  this enzyme helps rid  your pet of theses metals.

Pet Digestive Aid Phytase;  Breaks down carbohydrates, specifically phytates in plants. It can increase mineral absorption and the bio-availability of iron, zinc, calcium, and magnesium. A needed enzyme to help digest pet food with potatoes or carrots ect. Some companies say you do not need this very important enzyme it was put into the formula because pet foods do have carbohydrates and this enzyme helps properly digest them.

Pet Digestive Aid       Hemicellulase; Is used to breakdown carbohydrates, especially polysaccharides such as hemicelluloses, which are found in plant foods.

Pet Digestive Aid       Bromelain; Is most notable for its effectiveness in normalizing inflammation and supports health joints. As a natural systemic enzyme with many uses.

Pet Digestive Aid       NEW! LactaseHelping digest, Lactose and milk sugars. Lactase is required to break down lactose (a primary sugar found in mammalian milk).  Also to help digest yogurt, milk products and cheese.

Pet Digestive Aid       NEW! Glucoamylase;  Is used to breakdown carbohydrates, specifically polysaccharides, simple sugars. Many new dog treats have hidden sugar.

NEW! Prebiotics; Pre-biotics to help with implantation and growth of the good guy bacteria in the gut.  Pre-biotics- Inulin IQ FOS (Fructooligosaccharides)- one of the best-known pre-biotics, FOS is known to promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract. It has been shown to stimulate growth of bifidobacteria in the colon where many issues first take root. Healthy colon function is vital to a properly functioning immune system

Live Enzyme Activated Delivery System ® (L.E.A.D.S. ®) insures assimilation at a cellular level. This particular combination of mineral cofactors helps to activate each individual enzyme for maximum particle digestion and complete nutrient distribution throughout the body. It increases the formula's bioavailability.

All Natural Ingredients, Our factory is Certified and in full compliance with GMP Requirements for Dietary Supplements.  We also have a third party testing lab test for impurities. Made in USA facility

We use no beet fiber from sugar beets in our products as a filler.  All active ingredients. Some products will use sugar beet fiber as filler, check the labels.

SUGGESTED USE:

One scoop (approximately 625 mg) of Total-Zymes® per cup of pet food at each feeding. A free scoop is inside every jar of  both Total-Zymes® and Total-Biotics®. Put the amount of food to be fed for the entire day in a container with a snap on lid. Add one scoop of each formula for each cup of food. You can add the enzymes to the entire days worth of kibble all at one time and then feed out of that container for all the meals that day. You can add Total-Zymes®, if you wish, only to the kibble, but then add enough of both formulas to cover other foods such as canned or roll food that will be added to the dish that day.

Directions for raw fed pets.

Assuming that you are feeding only 100% raw meat with no potatoes, rice or vegetables that needs to be cooked. What I recommend for raw fed dogs is this. Cut the amount of Total-Zymes® to ½ scoop per cup of raw food. The benefit is, Total-Zymes® will replace the enzymes lost in freezing, grinding, storing and handling of the meat. Then the enzymes over and above what is needed to digest the food will be used systemically to support a normal inflammatory response. Those enzymes will also work on digesting possible seasonal allergens such as pollen, dander, dust mite feces and more. It can also lessen a reaction with flea bite saliva; there is a protein in flea’s salvia that causes the itch.

Total-Biotics® on the other hand should be doubled to two scoops per cup of raw food. This will insure your pet’s intestinal tract will remain well populated with good bacteria thus crowding out bad bacteria and unwanted yeasts and balance the gut. Because the meat is not a fresh kill, like it would be in the wild, (a squirrel or rabbit) and has been handled in a commercial meat packing plant the possibility of bacterial contamination is greater (E.coli, salmonella ,etc.). Remember freezing does not kill bacteria.

TOTAL-ZYMES ® FAQ

 1. What are enzymes?

Enzymes are products that either begin or enhance the speed of chemical reactions. Present in the cells of plants and animals, they regulate biochemical reactions in both active and inactive forms. They are specific with respect to their functions and do only that which they were designed to do.

2. Why use non-animal produced enzymes over animal/pancreatic enzymes?

The non-animal Vegetarian enzymes are more pure, very proactive, and react faster within their specific task. Animal/pancreatic enzymes, although designed to react the same way, may cause several negative reactions. This is due to the fact they may bring with them inherently non-compatible elements from their originations to your pet. These products generally carry a warning label regarding possible side effects from their use.

3. Why TOTAL-ZYMES®?

The pet market place is rife with products to aid in issues of every kind. As with most things, you usually do get what you pay for. Unfortunately, many products will use ingredients that will help in those issues, yet they do not put a sufficient amount to really help. This does not mean they wont help at all, but they may not help enough. Other products may use very good amounts of a couple of items, and compromise elsewhere. At NWC Naturals Pet Products, we decided to use every element necessary for complete digestion any food your pet may consume. We also made sure we put more than enough to do the task completely. In addition, the body could loose minerals from itself when this process of enzyme activity takes place, so we added our L.E.A.D.S®. system of minerals so the process would be complete unto itself, without taking minerals away from your pets body. We have also used the best prime sourced ingredients so as not to compromise our product performance. Compare Enzyme Products, we are the only one with 16 plant based enzymes.

4. Is Human Grade better for my pet?

It's not only the high quality ingredients but the way they are manufactured. All of our pet products are formulated for pets and their specific needs. When formulating our enzymes we looked at over 100 different pet foods on the market. With our expertise we developed a product that is far superior than the rest. And yes because it is made in a cGMP certified human grade manufacturer, so if you wish, you too can taste it with the same confidence you have with our human products.

Only a facility that actually produces human supplements, undergoes the inspections and approval necessary to have genuine human grade status and therefore, a pet food or supplement must be made in such a plant in order to be called 'human grade'.

The FDA and USDA are responsible for regulating human foods and supplements determining 'edible' status. In order to be allowed to produce human foods and supplements, a manufacturing facility undergoes far more frequent and detailed inspections by these and other agencies, compared with the inspection that a pet food plant undergoes.

GMP certified. All of our products are made in a factory that is GMP certified and only human grade raw materials are used. Many pet products do not receive this certification. With other brands you can never be sure if your pet is really getting the best. At best, you're just wasting money on an ineffective product.

5. How does Total-Zymes® for Pets take the stress off my pets pancreas?

The primary benefits of enzymes is in shifting a portion of the digestive burden from the pancreas to using the Vegetarian enzymes in the stomach and intestional tract. This simulates the enzymes that are contained in raw food. Continued supplementation over a period of days activates a feedback system to the pancreas, signaling it to decrease production of its enzymes because they are not necessary in as large of amounts. This allows the pancreas, to conserve its cellular machinery for production of insulin and glucagon; which are important in blood glucose maintenance. Thus helping take the stress of the pancreas.

6. Constipation in my dog or cat. Can probiotics and enzymes help?

Total-Biotics® and Total-Zymes® for pets can help support a normal good bowel movement. Probiotics are responsible for controlling the moisture content of the bowels. With the supplementation of probiotics this will help let things move along. This is not a laxative effect but is part of the natural balance of the colon. Digestive enzymes will help digest the food in the stomach liquefying it and let it move along easly while getting all the nutrition possible out of that food.

7.  Are there possible side effects of Probiotics and Enzymes in pets?

Probiotics and or enzymes sometimes can cause nausea or vomiting. When the health of an animal has been compromised for some time, things can start out worse before getting better. This happens in a few pets. Just like people they can have a "cleansing" or a "healing crisis". Experiencing digestive upset with probiotics or enzymes can be related to feeding of a poor quality commercial pet food that is hard to break down and digest. What happens is the food you feed your pet moves slowly through the intestines allowing some fecal plaque to adhere to your dog's intestinal walls. Once it gets a toehold, it may thicken over time. Even fairly young animals can experience some blockage as a result of this build up. Probiotics and enzymes will slowly begin to dissolve the fecal matter, and during this clearing/cleansing process, pathogens and microbes that were covered up with layers of fecal matter will be exposed and can cause episodes of diarrhea or vomiting. Depending on the buildup, it may take a few months before it is completely removed. To help restore your animal's health and happiness we suggest a healthier, more digestible diet and reducing the dosage of probiotics and enzymes to a level tolerated by your animal, building back up gradually as your animal begins to feel better. Think of it as a food change. Pet owners agree to chang a food, you never change it cold turkey. You shoud gradually change the the food from food A to food B. Even though food A and food B are both great quality, a rapid change can cause some stomach upset. Its the same with probiotics and enzymes. In 80% of pets they have no bad reaction introducing probiotics and enzymes. But think of it like a food change. Going from a meal that digests only part way, to using enzymes and getting 100% digestion, the pet may react like its a food change. In this case just like changing a food, go slower adding enzymes and probiotics untill the pets system adjust to higher levels of delivered nutrition. Within a few days or weeks the full amount of enzymes and probiotics can be added to the diet for maximum benefit

8. Why does my pet’s stool get smaller with enzymes?

A dog or cats digestive system is designed to process only raw food, primarily meat. In the wild no dog or cat would Bar-B-Que their food. Cats and dogs digestive systems are short and food eaten should have a relatively short transit time. Raw food contains all the enzymes needed to digest itself, thus it digests quickly and completely resulting in a small stool. Kibble, canned or other cooked food is lacking the enzymes to digest quickly or completely. When Total-Zymes® is added to cooked food the food is properly digested quickly and efficiently resulting in smaller stools and better health.

9.  What if I feed my pet Raw Food?

Assuming that you are feeding only 100% raw meat with no potatoes, rice or vegetables that needs to be cooked. What I recommend for raw fed dogs is this. Cut the amount of Total-Zymes® to ½ scoop per cup of raw food. The benefit is, Total-Zymes® will replace the enzymes lost in freezing, grinding, storing and handling of the meat. Then the enzymes over and above what is needed to digest the food will be used systemically to support a normal inflammatory response. Those enzymes will also work on digesting environmental pollen, dander, dust mite feces and more. These enzymes will also breakdown the protein in flea bite saliva that can cause discomfort for the pet.

Total-Biotics® on the other hand should be doubled to two scoops per cup of raw food. This will insure your pet’s intestinal tract will remain well populated with good bacteria thus crowding out bad bacteria and unwanted yeasts. Because the meat is not a fresh kill, like it would be in the wild, (a squirrel or rabbit) and has been handled in a commercial meat packing plant the possibility of bacterial contamination is greater (E.coli, salmonella ,etc.). Remember freezing does not kill bacteria. Total-Biotics does not kill the E.coli or salmonella, but it does regulate the natural gut balance by seeding with more probiotics.
