Q1. What happened to Belly-Ease®?

A: Total Gut Comfort™ is the next generation of Belly-Ease®.  For years, Belly-Ease® has been one of NWC Naturals’ most trusted digestive wellness products. As nutritional science has evolved, so has our formula.

We carefully updated the product to reflect today’s understanding of digestive wellness and gut health while preserving the broad-spectrum digestive enzyme foundation that made Belly-Ease® a customer favorite.

The result is Total Gut Comfort™—the same digestive support philosophy with an enhanced formula designed to support digestive comfort, healthy gut balance, nutrient utilization, and overall digestive wellness.

Q2: Why did you change the name?

A: As research has advanced, scientists have learned that the gut plays a much broader role in overall wellness than simply digesting food. The gut and its microbiome are closely connected to digestion, nutrient absorption, immune function, metabolism, and many other aspects of health.  

The name Total Gut Comfort™ better reflects what this product has become.

While Belly-Ease® focused on digestive comfort, Total Gut Comfort™ represents our broader approach to supporting healthy digestion, a balanced gut environment, and everyday gastrointestinal wellness.

Although the name has changed, our commitment to helping families support healthy digestion naturally has not.

Q3: Is Total Gut Comfort™ the same product as Belly-Ease®?

A: Yes—but it has been thoughtfully improved. We intentionally preserved the broad-spectrum digestive enzyme system that customers have trusted for years while enhancing the formula with:

• an updated 14-strain probiotic blend
• increased prebiotic inulin
• additional vitamin C
• an improved chewable tablet with better taste and texture

Q4: Why did you replace reduced cane juice with xylitol?

A: As we updated the formula, we evaluated every ingredient—not just the probiotics and enzymes.

We selected xylitol because it allowed us to create a smoother, better-tasting chewable tablet while reducing sugar and maintaining the digestive support our customers expect.

Xylitol is commonly used in premium chewable supplements because it provides excellent taste and texture without relying on added cane sugar.

Q5. How should I take Total Gut Comfort™?

Adults and children should chew 1–2 tablets just before or during meals.

The number of tablets can be adjusted depending on the size and complexity of the meal.

For best results, use consistently as part of your daily digestive wellness routine.

Q9. Can children take Total Gut Comfort™?

Yes.

The chewable tablet was designed for the entire family.

If a child is too young to chew tablets safely, the tablet may be crushed and mixed into cool or room-temperature foods or beverages.

Avoid mixing into hot foods because excessive heat can reduce enzyme and probiotic activity.
