Spring into Fitness!

spring fitness

spring fitnessLast week started the beginning of spring and you know what that means- beach season is on the horizon! Why wait until summer to start prepping? Prep now, for the best summer of your life! Here are some spring tips from NWC Naturals® that will help get you ready for summer in no time!

1. Eat 5 times a day

That’s right – 5 times! Why so much? Studies show that eating smaller meals more frequently throughout the day can actually help you rev up your metabolism and burn fat! Make lunch your largest meal. Cut out refined sugars. You want your sugars to be natural, organic, and easy to burn off.

2. Exercise 3 times a week

Exercise does require time and energy, so getting started might seem like a daunting task. Don’t worry…it’s easier than you’d expect. Not only are there physical benefits to exercising, but it also helps you to blow off steam and reconnect with yourself. Start off by finding something you’ll stick to. Get a gym membership, a personal trainer, or a new exercise DVD. Start it, and stick to it- 3 times a week.

3. Schedule “Me” Time

Change starts with being positive, and loving your body, so work on your positive attitude. Find something you love and do it- once a week. If you love having freshly painted toes, do that! If you love reading on the beach, do that! At least once a week schedule some “me” time, to rejuvenate and clear your mind. Trust us, this will make a huge difference in your life, and will help you stick to your eating and fitness goals as well.

4. Don’t Fuss About the Physical

Yes, you may be trying to get ready for beach season and may worry about what you look like in a bathing suit. But the #1 reason why people quit their fitness routine is because they are not seeing “results” fast enough. So stop looking at the outside, and start focusing on the inside! Don’t worry, you will see results on the outside soon. But until then, focus on feeling better about yourself and getting healthy on the inside, and the outward changes will follow.
