There are two classifications of Vitamins:

Fat soluble vitamins

Absorbed into the body as a fat and are acted on or processed by the body as it would a fat.

They can generally be stored easier and for longer periods in the body than water soluble vitamins.

Fat soluble vitamins are: Vitamin A, D, E and K.

Water Soluble Vitamins

Soluble in water and excreted from the body mainly through the urine.  They are stored by the body for short periods of time.

Water Soluble Vitamins are: Vitamin C, B1, B2, Niacin, B6, Panothenic Acid, Biotin, B12, Folic Acid, Choline, and Inositol.

Inorganic, synthetic, & dead vitamins

Inorganic, dead, and laboratory-made vitamin supplements cost the body nutrients including vitamins to rid these unusable substances from the body. An excess intake of the wrong supplements can cause a deficiency of vitamins due to the body’s utilization of resident or stored vitamins in an attempt to metabolize and eliminate the inorganic and toxic supplements.
