Other helpful tips before the trip:

pet enzymesMake sure the hotel, bed-and-breakfast or campsite where you plan to stay allows pets.

pet enzymesKeep your pets safe and secure in a well-ventilated crate or carrier.

pet enzymesIt might be a good idea to get your pet used to the carrier in the comfort of your home before your trip.

pet enzymesNever leave your animal alone in a parked vehicle. On a hot day, even with the windows open, a parked automobile can become a furnace in no time, and heatstroke can develop. In cold weather, a car can act as a refrigerator, holding in the cold and causing the animal to freeze.

pet enzymesGet your pet geared up for a long trip by taking him on a series of short drives first, gradually lengthening time spent in the car. And please be sure to always secure the crate so it won't slide or shift in the event of a quick stop.

pet enzymesYour pet's travel-feeding schedule should start with a light meal three to four hours prior to departure. Don't feed your furry friend in a moving vehicle-even if it is a long drive.

pet enzymesDon't allow your pet to ride with his head outside the window. He could be injured by flying objects. And please keep him in the back seat in his crate or with a harness attached to a seat buckle.

pet enzymesWhen it comes to H2O, we say BYO. Opt for bottled water or tap water stored in plastic jugs. Drinking water from an area he's not used to could result in tummy upset for your pet

Oxy-pH Boost™ to the water dish:

pet enzymesWhen adding Oxy-pH Boost™ to the water dish when you have to use unfiltered water

pet enzymesAdd 3-6 drops of the Oxy-pH Boost™ Concentrate to a pet's water dish each time it is empted and refilled, especially when traveling out of state or country. Oxy-pH Boost™ for pets can help keep the water pure, and may help freshen breath or promote gum health, for you and your pet. Do this for three weeks and then stop use for one week then repeat

Topical use for pets:

pet enzymesTo use Oxy-pH Boost™ topically: mix one teaspoon with 1/2 cup of water. Then dip in a cotton ball or small gauze and use on the area that needs to be treated. You may also use this solution in a small spray bottle, and then blot off excess.

pet enzymesFor pets this can be used on the ears or their bellies. Or wherever there might be a bug bite or irritation on the skin. Do not use full strength, always dilute in water. Continue three times a day until condition clears up.

If their system gets stressed they can get candida and yeast overgrowth.

pet enzymesAs a Natural Candida Remedy: Oxy-pH Boost™ For Pets can be combined with Total-Biotics®

pet enzymesWhen dealing with Yeast in pets you must use Total-Biotics® and Oxy-pH Boost™ together as a combined treatment. The Oxy-pH Boost™ is a temporary treatment and is on an as needed basis, whereas the Total-Biotics® should be a lifelong approach to balancing a healthy pet.

LIST OF PROBIOTICS

List of Probiotics

Here is a list of probiotics used in New!Total-Biotics®

Now with more probiotics and higher CFU's.

Lactobacillus Acidophilus DDS-1 This DDS-1 strain of Lactobacillus acidophilus is a unique, highly-stable probiotic microorganism, which, when produced according to Dr. Shahani’s proprietary methods, has been shown through research to be one of the strongest and most beneficial probiotics.
Bifidobacterium bifidum Is a normal inhabitant of the intestines. Found in large numbers, the numbers of bifidobacteria decrease with age. B. bifidum helps detoxify the intestines and promote regular bowel movements.
Bacillus coagulans Bacillus coagulans has been added by the EFSA to their Qualified Presumption of Safety (QPS) list] and has been approved for veterinary purposes by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Veterinary Medicine, as well as by the European Union and is listed by AAFCO for use as a direct fed microbial in livestock production. It is often used in veterinary applications, especially as a probiotic in pigs, cattle, poultry, dog and cats.
Bifidobacterium breve Different species and/or strains of bifidobacteria may exert a range of beneficial health effects, including the regulation of intestinal microbial homeostasis, the inhibition of pathogens and harmful bacteria that can colonize and infect the gut mucosa Bifidobacterium breve is helping to modulate the local and systemic immune responses.
B. lactis (B. animalis ) B. lactis is a Gram-positive anaerobic rod-shaped bacterium, which can be found in the large intestines of most mammals, including humans. Bifidobacterium animalis and Bifidobacterium lactis were previously described as two distinct species. Presently, both are considered B. animalis with the subspecies Bifidobacterium animalis subspecies animalis and Bifidobacterium animalis subspecies lactis. Both names B. animalis and B. lactis are still used on product labels, as this species is frequently used as a probiotic in pet products.
B. longum Aids in the cleansing and health of the colon and liver.
L. brevis Lactobacillus brevis is a species of lactic acid bacteria, all of which are Gram-positive, non spore forming organisms whose main metabolic pathway involves fermenting hexose sugars to produce lactic acid. L. brevis can be isolated from the food sources in inhabits, one example being kimchi. This bacteria is probiotic, and improves the immune system.
L. casei Is reported to be one of the most potent defenders from Listeria bacteria. It is also known for its ability to induce an immune response that is helpful in supporting a healthy urinary tract
L. plantarum Can be found in naturally fermented foods. It is found in the large intestine where it helps to break down protein into usable nutrients, thus normalizing inflammation.
L. rhamnosus Is one of the more highly studied probiotic strains, primarily used in support of normal gastrointestinal health. It also aids the body in balancing the normal flora ecology and supports a healthy urinary tract.
Lactococcus lactis Has been shown through research to produce a high amount of lactic acid, which is able to inhibit the growth of H. pylori, thusly reducing the associated inflammation and risk of peptic ulcers. Is also beneficial to supplement the diet in maintaining normal intestinal flora.
L. salivarius Has been shown through research to produce a high amount of lactic acid, which can inhibit the growth of H. pylori bacteria.
Streptococcus thermophilus Is known for repairing free radical damage from aging, stress, antibiotics, chlorinated water and other chemicals. It also contains an antioxidant that helps normalize inflammation and protect against the toxins.
L. Bulgaricus Lactobacillus bulgaricus is one of several bacteria used for the production of yogurt. It is also found in other naturally fermented products.

DON'T FORGET THE ENZYMES ALSO ON YOUR PETS TRIP:

Total-Zymes® is THE ONLY pet enzyme formula that has 16 plant based digestive enzymes and a delivery system.

By using Total-zymes® this will help with stool problems. It will also help making the stool smaller and you can feed your dog less because they will be digesting more food.

Every pet can benefit from supplementation with enzymes. Even healthy pets may improve their absorption and utilization of nutrients through the use of digestive enzymes.

By using a supplemental enzyme on your pet's food you free up their body's digestive system. This helps with constipation or loose stools.

Always check the labels: some enzyme products put beet root fiber in their formula as a filler. But yet they say they use no fillers read the label. This is an controversial ingredient that is made from sugar beets and put into dog products as a fiber filler. Avoid supplements with Beet root fiber.

Total-Zymes® use beet root juice not fiber. The beet root juice in the product is not from sugar beets and supports the liver and the digestion process.

Live Enzyme Activated Delivery System®. L.E.A.D.S.® insures complete digestion and assimilation of all your pets food at a cellular level. That's what sets Total-Zymes® apart from the rest. IT WORKS!

Can enzymes take the stress off my pets pancreas?

Yes:  The primary benefit is in shifting a portion of the digestive burden from pancreatic enzymes in the intestine to fungal enzymes in the stomach. Continued supplementation over a period of days activates a feedback system to the pancreas, signaling it to decrease production of its enzymes. This allows the pancreas, primarily an endocrine organ, to conserve its cellular machinery for production of insulin and glucagon; which are important in blood glucose maintenance.
