A growing number of vets are stating that cooked or processed pet food is the main cause of illness and premature death in the modern house pet!
Animals are meant to eat a 100% raw diet... but is that practical?
What is the answer for keeping your pet healthy with a modern pet diet? The answer is; Total-Zymes® PLUS
For complete digestion you must include all the different enzymes in a product to digest each type of food ingredient. A digestive product that contains only four, five or six enzymes will do a poor job digesting the complex ingredients of today's high quality pet food.
Using Total-Zymes® PLUS on your pet's food is as close to the benefits of an all raw food diet as you can get.
Even healthy pets may improve their absorption and utilization of nutrients through the use of digestive enzymes. By using a supplemental enzyme on your pet's food you free up their body's digestive system to also make systemic enzymes, which prevent allergies. When enzymes are missing from our pets food, the full burden of digestion falls on the pets own digestive system.
Not all probiotics are alike. Many cheap probiotics are unstable and lose their beneficial properties in the stomach before the probiotics can reach the intestine. Some companies put probiotics in there product that do not implant. We are the experts in this field. The formulator of this product wrote the book "The Wonder of Probiotics".
Without good bacteria, a pet's body would be unable to fight off disease, absorb food properly, and their intestines become overrun with toxins and waste, which set the breeding ground for disease. Unfortunately, every time your pet drinks chlorinated water, eat fatty foods, takes anti-biotics, get stressed or become overly tired, good bacteria is destroyed in their bodies.
So use the tab with the power of enzymes and probiotics all in one!
The Live Enzyme Activated Delivery System ® (L.E.A.D.S.®) insures assimilation at a cellular level. This particular combination of mineral cofactors helps to activate each individual enzyme for maximum particle digestion and complete nutrient distribution throughout the body. It increases the formula's bioavailability. It also optimizes our probiotics' effectiveness in your pet's digestive tract helping the probiotics implant and colonize. Made and bottled in the USA,
Using Total-Zymes® PLUS on your pet's food is as close as you can get to the benefits of an all raw food diet.

New Ingredient! The only patented stabilized glutamine in the world- MGG chelate- This stabilized Glutamine re-writes the book on utilizing anabolic nitrogen molecules to help cleanse and fortify the body. Glutamine yields beneficial effects on the intestinal mucosa and is also the major metabolic fuel for the small intestine. The addition of the chelated glutamine to Total-Biotics®. greatly improves the stability and colonization characteristics of beneficial bacteria in the pet's intestinal tract and is an essential nutrient that is required by the intestinal cells. It can actually help repair a damaged intestinal tract.
That is why our product work better than the rest!
Total-Zymes® Plus For Pets does NOT contain any animal based enzymes and here is why:
Supplemental pancreatic, plant, and microbial enzymes are all designed to enhance digestion. However, plant and microbial enzymes use a "pro-active" approach and begin working on foods soon after ingestion. Pancreatic enzymes do not go to work right away. Pancreatic enzymes usually begin working approximately 30 minutes after food reaches the stomach and up to 80% of the enzymes are destroyed in the stomach.
Every pet can benefit from supplementation with enzymes and probiotics.
Even healthy pets may improve their absorption and utilization of nutrients through the use of digestive enzymes and probiotics. By using a supplemental enzyme on your pet’s food you free up their body's digestive system. When enzymes are missing from our pet's food, the full burden of digestion falls on the pet's own digestive system.
How to handle and store Total-Zymes® PLUS
All pro-biotics will benefit from proper storage to insure a long shelf life with full potency. Nothing in Total-Zymes® PLUS actually goes stale or bad with time. The potency will go down depending on how it is stored. If stored at room temperature we guarantee full potency through the date printed on the jar.
Since we only use fully stabilized versions of the pro-biotics and we formulate with double what we claim on the label, we can guarantee the potency that is listed on the label if left out at room temperature. When Total-Zymes® PLUS is stored in the refrigerator you can add 6 months to the life of the product.
When you store Total-Zymes® PLUS in the freezer you can add one full year to the life of the product. Always keep the lid tightly closed. When you receive your product check the date and decide if you will be using the product up by that date. If not, then either refrigerate or freeze the product accordingly.
List of ingredients for Total-Zymes® Plus for pets includes
New! Improved more enzymes, probiotics and patented ingredients
Enzymes: Now 16 digestive enzymes:
Protease 6.0- Is used to break down proteins to peptides. It will not digest protein to amino acids. A second enzyme is necessary for that to happen.
Protease 3.0- Is used to break down proteins in a different PH range.
Protease 4.5- Is used to break down proteins in a different PH range then the other two.
Peptidase- Helps digest protein molecules. Four varieties of protease enzymes have been combined in this formula to compensate for the higher protein diets of pets.
Amylase- An enzyme that breaks down sugars and starches. Good for those hidden sugars in pet treats. Also helps digest corn, potatoes, rice etc.
Alpha-Galactosidase- This enzyme breaks down carbohydrates such as vegetables and whole grains. It can help prevent gas and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
Beta-Glucanase- This enzyme is used to breakdown carbohydrates, specifically starches.
Diastase- (Sometimes called maltase) Is an enzyme that is the catalyst in the hydrolysis of disaccharide maltose to the simple sugar form - glucose.
Lipase- Will digest only lipids or fats as they are commonly called. Lipase will not do anything to digest protein or carbohydrates.
Cellulase- Works on Cellulose, an indigestible fiber found in many fruits and vegetables.
Pectinase; Breaks down fruit and vegetable pectins and aids in detoxifying and lifting heavy metals in pets. A much needed enzyme for your pet. Your pet gets heavy metal build up just like we do, this enzyme helps rid your pet of these toxic metals.
Phytase; Breaks down carbohydrates, specifically phytates in plants. It can increase mineral absorption and the bio-availability of iron, zinc, calcium, and magnesium. A needed enzyme to help digest pet food with potatoes or carrots ect. Some companies say you do not need this very important enzyme it was put into the formula because pet foods do have carbohydrates and this enzyme helps properly digest them.
Hemicellulase- Is used to breakdown carbohydrates, especially polysaccharides such as hemicelluloses, which are found in plant foods.
Bromelain- Is most notable for its effectiveness in normalizing inflammation and decreasing swelling. As a natural systemic enzyme with many uses.
NEW! Lactase - Helping digest, Lactose and milk sugars. Lactase is required to break down lactose (a primary sugar found in mammalian milk). Also to help digest yogurt, milk products and cheese.
NEW! Glucoamylase- Is used to breakdown carbohydrates, specifically polysaccharides, simple sugars. Many new pet treats have hidden sugar.
Now with 14 probiotics and higher CFU's.
The only probiotics used are from Nebraska Cultures the best live viable probiotics on the market.
Acidophilus DDS-1 strain- researched and developed by Dr. Khem Shahani for over 77 years, Acidophilus is the most effective pro-biotic strain, defending against the greatest number of pathogens: inhibiting 11 disease-causing bacteria. Called the "sticker strain," Acidophilus has the ability to actually cling to the intestinal wall without harming it. In fact, it is best known for its ability to move un-disrupted through the stomach and into the intestines where it eats away at disease causing bacteria. It is known for reducing the occurrence of constipation and diarrhea, increasing nutrient uptake (especially calcium), preventing food poisoning and alleviating dermatitis and other skin and coat conditions.
B. bifidum- is normally found in the mucus membranes lining of the large intestine and vaginal tract, where it attaches to the walls removing yeast that would further lower the pH levels and allow bacteria to grow. Supplementation has been shown to modify intestinal flora, ward off liver problems and protect against the damaging affects of radiation. It also helps control diarrhea and other intestinal disturbances.
Bacillus coagulans- Bacillus coagulans has been added by the EFSA to their Qualified Presumption of Safety (QPS) list] and has been approved for veterinary purposes by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Veterinary Medicine, as well as by the European Union and is listed by AAFCO for use as a direct fed microbial in livestock production. It is often used in veterinary applications, especially as a probiotic in pigs, cattle, poultry, dog and cats.
Bifidobacterium breve- Different species and/or strains of bifidobacteria may exert a range of beneficial health effects, including the regulation of intestinal microbial homeostasis, the inhibition of pathogens and harmful bacteria that can colonize and infect the gut mucosa Bifidobacterium breve is helping to modulate the local and systemic immune responses.
B. lactis (B. animalis )- B. lactis is a Gram-positive anaerobic rod-shaped bacterium, which can be found in the large intestines of most mammals, including humans. Bifidobacterium animalis and Bifidobacterium lactis were previously described as two distinct species. Presently, both are considered B. animalis with the subspecies Bifidobacterium animalis subspecies animalis and Bifidobacterium animalis subspecies lactis. Both names B. animalis and B. lactis are still used on product labels, as this species is frequently used as a probiotic in pet products.
B. longum- Aids in the cleansing and health of the colon and liver.
L. brevis- Lactobacillus brevis is a species of lactic acid bacteria, all of which are Gram-positive, non spore forming organisms whose main metabolic pathway involves fermenting hexose sugars to produce lactic acid. L. brevis can be isolated from the food sources in inhabits, one example being kimchi. This bacteria is probiotic, and improves the immune system.
L. casei- Is reported to be one of the most potent defenders from Listeria bacteria. It is also known for its ability to induce an immune response that is helpful in supporting a healthy urinary tract.
L. plantarum-.Can be found in naturally fermented foods. It is found in the large intestine where it helps to break down protein into usable nutrients, thus normalizing inflammation.
L. rhamnosus- Is one of the more highly studied probiotic strains, primarily used in support of normal gastrointestinal health. It also aids the body in balancing the normal flora ecology and supports a healthy urinary tract.
Lactococcus lactis - Has been shown through research to produce a high amount of lactic acid, which is able to inhibit the growth of H. pylori, thusly reducing the associated inflammation and risk of peptic ulcers. Is also beneficial to supplement the diet in maintaining normal intestinal flora.
L. salivarius- Has been shown through research to produce a high amount of lactic acid, which can inhibit the growth of H. pylori bacteria.
Streptococcus thermophilus- Is known for repairing free radical damage from aging, stress, antibiotics, chlorinated water and other chemicals. It also contains an antioxidant that helps normalize inflammation and protect against the toxins.
L. Bulgaricus- Lactobacillus bulgaricus is one of several bacteria used for the production of yogurt. It is also found in other naturally fermented products.

No. This is the most powerful high colony forming formula in the world supplying 62.5 million CFUs with now an outstanding 14 different strains of good guy bacteria matched to each cup of food consumed. Of course pets that are convalescing definitely will benefit greatly from this product. Total-Zymes® PLUS is designed for daily use for all pets in every cup of food. It is essential that all pets have a daily supplement of probiotics and enzymes to build their susceptible immune systems.
2. What type of research is behind the Total-Zymes® PLUS formula?
Total-Zymes® PLUS combines the latest research and clinical studies into one powerful formula. The probiotics in this formula were selected after consulting with Dr. Khem Shahani from the University of Nebraska. Dr. Shahani is recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on beneficial bacteria supplementation and is a pioneer in the discovery of DDS-1 Acidophilus. In addition, the enzymes have over 30 years of research behind them.
3. Does Total-Zymes® PLUS have a bad taste?
Total-Zymes® PLUS basically has a subtle carob and brewer’s yeast flavor. Most pets will just eat it down with their meal. Since it is all human grade ingredients, try it yourself.
4. Can probiotics and enzymes help with constipation in dogs and cats?
Total-Zymes® PLUS for pets can help support a good bowel movement. Probiotics are responsible for controlling the moisture content of the stools. The supplementation of probiotics will help things move along, not by causing a laxative effect but by supporting the natural balance of the colon. Digestive enzymes will help digest the food in the stomach which helps move things along as well.
5. What are enzymes?
Enzymes are products that either begin or enhance the speed of chemical reactions. Present in the cells of plants and animals, they regulate biochemical reactions in both active and inactive forms. They are specific with respect to their functions and do only that which they were designed to do. They have been called the spark of life!
6. Why use non-animal produced or vegetarian enzymes over animal/pancreatic enzymes?
Vegetarian enzymes are more pure, very proactive, and react faster within their specific task. Animal/pancreatic enzymes, although designed to react the same way, may cause several negative side effects. This is because they may bring inherently non-compatible elements from their originations to your pet. These products generally carry a warning label regarding possible side effects from their use. Pancreatin can also be very aggressive.
7. Why Total-Zymes® PLUS?
The marketplace is full of products that claim to aid in issues of every kind. Many products contain some of the ingredients that help with those issues, yet they do not contain enough of those ingredients to be truly therapeutic.
They may do something to help the issue, but they may not do enough. Other products may use some high quality ingredients, but may compromise elsewhere. At NWC Naturals Pet Products LLC., they use every element necessary to digest any food your pet may consume.
They also made sure they added more than enough enzymes and probiotics to do the task completely. When enzymes do their work they must have a supply of high quality chelated minerals to activate the enzymes. These minerals are burned up in that catalytic enzyme activity. If those necessary minerals are not in the digestive enzymes formula itself, then those enzymes will rob the tissues and organs of those minerals in order to accomplish the complete digestion.
To prevent this from happening and to enhance the speed and efficiency of their enzyme formula they have added ther L.E.A.D.S.® system of patented chelated minerals so the process would be complete unto itself.
The L.E.A.D.S.® system is exclusive to NWC Naturals® Pet Products. In addition they have selected the best primary source ingredients so as to enhance our products performance. Total-Zymes® PLUS is the only product with 16 vegetarian enzymes for the total digestive solution and 14 ProBiotics with Pre-Biotics.
All Natural Ingredients, the facility that manufactures NWC Naturals® pet products is Certified and is in full compliance with GMP Requirements for Dietary Supplements. This insures the quality ingredients which are tested and retested for purity and quality.Human Grade.
